This...

Well, that was probably one of the worst sleeps I have had in a while, and I can't even begin to tell you why. I was completely exhausted as I went to bed, but couldn't fall asleep, and then it was quite chilly in the bedroom as it was -8 outside, but I don't believe that is a factor at all. I also didn't have any vivid, sad, horrible dreams like I did the previous night, thankfully.

I don't have much planned for today, probably a big long nap because I didn't sleep well at all. Plus, it is absolutely gross outside, and there is no way in hell that I will be going out to do yard work or anything without a toque, gloves, and my winter jacket! I am not impressed by the current cold snap we're having, I was really looking forward to the +18 weather this week.

So, in my profile I've mentioned that Wade and I are trying for a baby! I've had a pregnancy prediction done (this is done by a psychic) and she has predicted the following for us! (Copy and paste directly from the email)

"They are showing me a little girl that is coming your way. I am linking her to the end of April, early May.. so April 29-May 3.. wondering if you can look ahead and see if this would link to either testing or ovulation time frame?

They are showing this pregnancy going fairly well, and that your labor experience is going to be fast. I am given the impression that she's early, I am thinking like 8 days early and that it just seems like one minute your in labor, and then the next thing she is born. My interpretation is that your going to expect a long delivery, and find out that she comes faster than you think, so ensure that your ready with your bags packed ahead of time!
They are showing her being born in the low 7lb range. They are showing her being very long. I am seeing that while your pregnant, you really carry her, really far out, and at times people are going to ask if your carrying twins. I think that its just how she sits in there, and because of her length, just has her sticking out more."

Now, usually you're given a general month, one that you will conceive in, find out your pregnant in, or give birth in. I am guessing that because mine was so close to when I asked for a prediction that she gave me actual dates. And boy do I hope that this is the time, 6 months of trying seems like a long time, all the while absolutely enjoyable, but wanting a baby is usually one of those things you want now, want to be pregnant, not wait. I guess we will see what happens! Wish us luck!

Recipe Alert: Guacamole

For a Guacamole recipe, since I don't like raw tomatoes, I did a search to find one without tomatoes. The one I found, I think needed something more, maybe a bit more garlic or some more salt and pepper.

1 Avocado, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 tablespoon, finely chopped Red Onion - I took this out, as I cannot eat raw onion
1 clove Garlic, minced - I would personally add more
1 tablespoon fresh Cilantro leaves, minced
1 tablespoon fresh Lime juice - I used lemon as I can't have lime
1/8 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Pepper

In a small mixing bowl, combine the avocado with the onion, garlic, cilantro, and lime juice. Mashing it together with the back of a fork until mostly combined. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste. Serve immediately or cover with plastic wrap pressed directly to the surface of the guacamole and refrigerate for up to 4 hours.

**Side note: I used an immersion blender (hand blender) to mash it all together, it was so much easier**

Faded Away

I've challenged myself to naming each blog title after a song! Let me tell you, it is an incredibly big challenge! We will see how long I can keep it up!

I woke up this morning, very abruptly, and crying. I was having one of the worst dreams someone could have. I have this friend, Morgann, she's amazing and she's like my little sister. Her and I were texting a week or so ago and she was telling me that she will be calling mine and Wade's kids her nieces and nephews (which is completely fine with us). In this dream, we were all at a party, a big gathering - the location I'm unsure of, but it had a hill and a lake. The dream fast forward a while, from when we arrived to when there was an accident, there had been a car run off the road by a truck, I went rushing to the scene only to realize it had been Morgann, my sister, the one I talked to about everything, but would no longer be talking to or seeing. (insert big sad face here) Only to realize the truck that had purposely run her off the road and had fled had been the guy she was seeing, and that liked her. It didn't make any sense to me. Next thing I remember is holding a rose she had given me only moments before the accident, in a public washroom, crying my eyes out with Wade, telling him that she was going to be an auntie to a niece or a nephew, and how she had just told me she wanted to be the auntie to our babies. I hadn't yet gotten a chance to tell her that she was going to be an auntie...  This is where I woke up crying and screaming. Thankfully I was home alone, Wade had gone to work. Immediately I text Morgann, knowing full well that she probably would still be sleeping. She text me back within the hour and I explained the dream, she's told me she won't be partying for a while. I find it so incredibly weird that my brain linked ALL of this into one dream. Considering I'm not pregnant yet, we're still in the trying stage.

On another note, I tried a few new recipes this weekend! I found a good recipe for guacamole (which I will share shortly), and a LazyDay Lasagna recipe. Along with these I made Chocolate Chip Banana Bread! I'm considering making an apple pie in the next few days, make it smell incredible in the house!

Life brings you so many unexpected things, some good and some bad, some expected and some not. One of the things that I didn't really expect that turned out to be absolutely incredible is the positive effects that Ganoderma Lucidum has been having on my Crohn's Disease. I really didn't realize it until Wade and I were grocery shopping yesterday and I wanted to buy that cheesy jalapeƱo dip to have with chips, just to test how my stomach has been simply because I haven't had to rush to the bathroom after any meals :) It was then, when I was contemplating buying some of what is usually my worst enemy, that Wade said I've been eating a lot of salad (lettuce is a trigger and usually sends me to the bathroom within 10-15 minutes of eating it), sometimes for lunch, and then a small bowl with dinner, and it hasn't been affecting me. Another thing that usually bugs me is avocados, well I can successfully say that after eating a ton of guacamole yesterday, I did not rush to the bathroom :) :) It's truthfully like my Crohn's Disease has faded away. Life is amazing when things are working out in your favour!

I truthfully would suggest that anyone with Crohn's Disease, IBD, IBS, anything gastrointestinal related gives these a try. I'm taking Ganoderma Lucidum and Mycelium capsules, one of each once a day, and it is truly changing my life. For more information on these, let me know, I'm always available!

Long Time..No See?

Hello to all,

I have been super busy and haven't made a post in a week or so! So, to update everyone I had gotten sick with a UTI and a kidney infection! If you have never had either, you are soooo lucky! It was terrible! My godson got baptised the following weekend of my infections. He is the most amazing baby! He is 5 months old and a large chunker! My Husband, CP finally took a job offer! He had had two on the table and was having a hard time choosing between the two! But, it all worked out in the end! He starts June 3rd! We were offically accepted for the amazing apartment I told you all about in my first post! So, everything is right on track! I won't start looking for a job until we move up there. Its too far right now to drive for bloody minimun wage. I wish it was easier to pack up our lives. I get a few boxes packed and then am like "I think I've done enough....time to play some halo." Seriously, that's how it goes! But, I do not work tomorrow and by god I will have our computer room packed up! (yah, we will see!)

While we were away for the baptism CP and I went shopping and I bought the most amazing cookbook! I know I already posted the recipe for the Gumbo from it. But, seriously there are 1,000 recipes and are all low calorie! I have made a few different recipes out of it already! The Gumbo by far has been my favorite! Yes, it is spicy. So, for those of you that can't take the spicy, I'm sorry! But, my stomach can handle a little spice. I didn't use the full force of the Cujan in it and it was amazing! I will deffinatly be making it again! I also tried this Grill Zesty Chicken. It was super good but nest time I am not adding the zest on top of the chicken. Apparently, I am not a zest fan!

I was on the "serious" track for losing weight a few months ago and then started slacking, of course! But, I am currently back on the right track. I hate that I can't stand to look in the mirror. I have gained so much weight since being with CP. And, I totally know its because I am happy. You get comfortable with your partner and stop caring about what you look like! And, I am sooo ready to drop like 100lbs lol. I would seriously be happy with like 20 lbs though! I am hoping by the end of summer I will loose close to 20-50 lbs. I wish I was comfortable enough to go to a gym!

Heres a funny story... CP and I have been living on our own for two years in this god aweful apartment. Our current apartment is too small to have a couch. But, our new apartment that is waiting for us is a lot larger! So, my boss said he has a couch he would love to get rid of. He told me it was tan and super comfy. "A good sleeeping couch." This guy is loaded. Like, one of the wealthist people I know! So, I told CP about the couch and that it was free. We both agreed that a free couch woud be sweet for now. CP and his Dad went and picked up this couch last Thursday...And, it is the uglyist couch you would ever set your eyes on. Its like poop brown with pink, orange, blue, yellow, gold flowers on it... Seriously, hello granmda?? So, not only do I have to put up with cody's ugly organ chair... We not have a seriously ugly friggin couch to match the ugly chair. People will walk into our living room and think "Woah, did I just time travel to the 70's?"

Well, I think thats it for today! I gotta get ready for work!
